The LiDAR image above shows a portion of Pensacola Beach. Higher elevations are a red color and low elevations are blue. Water is at a low elevation and sand dunes are at a higher elevation. I think the road is at the road callout because the area has a relatively constant continuing elevation.Monday, July 26, 2010

Week 3
This week's lab was frustrating. I could not do the lab because the program kept crashing. Without practice from the lab, the challenge was harder than it should have been. Everything down to posting the blog went wrong. The image shows a map of Pensacola that has been rectified. This is done by georeferencing (assigning coordinates to map data). I used a map of Pensacola that already has a coordinate system defined to make the new map.
